A scan is a record, not a rough draft. Scanning.app is designed to preserve what’s on the page rather than rewrite or interpret it.

Numbers, dates, names, and amounts are transcribed as faithfully as possible. The output is built to represent your document, not to be an AI’s interpretation of it.

When something genuinely can’t be read, it’s marked [unclear] instead of silently guessed. You always know what the scanner knew, and what it didn’t.
