Privacy Policy

The short version: we don’t know who you are and we don’t want to. No accounts, no tracking, no analytics, no ads. Your documents are stored on your phone. Pages leave your phone only when you use Text, Spreadsheet or Ask AI, and then only to be read and sent back.
What stays on your phone
- Your documents. Scanned pages, PDFs, extracted text and spreadsheets are stored only on your device. You can delete any document at any time; deleting the app removes them all.
- Scanning and PDFs. Capturing pages and creating PDFs happen entirely on your phone and work offline. Nothing is sent.
What leaves your phone, and why
When you tap Text, Spreadsheet or Ask AI, the app sends that document’s page images to our processing service so an AI model can read them. The result comes back to your phone and is saved there, so the same document is never sent twice.
Each request includes a random device identifier created by the app. It is used only to apply the free allowance and fair-use limits, and to recognise a Scanner Pro subscription. It is not derived from your hardware and is not linked to your name, email, phone number or any other identity.
What we keep, and for how long
- Processing cache: 7 days, then deleted. Results are kept for up to 7 days so that re-sending identical pages is instant, then deleted automatically.
- Usage counts. For each device identifier we keep a count of documents and pages processed, to apply the free allowance and fair-use limits.
- Service logs. Minimal operational records, such as a document’s detected title, page and word counts, processing time and errors, to monitor quality and reliability. They are not linked to the device identifier.
Who processes your data
- AI providers. Reading documents uses third-party AI infrastructure under their API terms. Page images are shared with them only to produce your result.
- Apple and RevenueCat (purchases). Subscriptions are sold through the App Store. Apple processes payment; we never see your card or Apple ID. We use RevenueCat to confirm which devices have an active subscription; it receives the random device identifier and the App Store purchase record, not your name or email.
We do not sell or share your data for advertising, and we do not use your documents to build profiles.
What we don’t do
- No accounts, sign-ups or login.
- No advertising, ad tracking or third-party analytics.
- No selling of data, ever.
- No claim of end-to-end encryption or fully on-device AI. Reading documents genuinely uses a server, and we’d rather say so plainly.
Your choices
- Use only scanning and PDFs, and nothing ever leaves your phone.
- Delete any document, or the whole app, at any time.
- Manage or cancel a subscription in your iPhone’s Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions.

Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above. Material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
